DESCRIPTION:STO organiza un evento sobre las nuevas aplicaciones de la edición del genoma\, en particular de CRISPR-Cas9. Este evento buscará identificar aquellos problemas y desafíos que surgen de la aplicación de la ingeniería del genoma a cultivos que necesitan una atención especial. Incluirá una presentación de la ciencia detrás de la edición del genoma y sus aplicaciones\, y considerará los posibles beneficios\, así como las preocupaciones sociales que se esperan de estas aplicaciones.
