SUMMARY:Participación en las Jornadas "LA DESINFORMACIÓN EN TIEMPOS DE LA COVID-19"
DESCRIPTION:El problema de la desinformación ha crecido exponencialmente en los últimos años. Con la crisis actual\, la situación se ha agravado y ha llevado a la UE a intensificar sus medidas para abordar la desinformación en torno al coronavirus\, al tiempo que mantiene su protección a la libertad de expresión. \nEn este contexto\, el Grupo Socialistas y Demócratas en el Parlamento Europeo y la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid proponemos unas jornadas dedicadas a este tema\, con el título “LA DESINFORMACIÓN EN LA UE EN LOS TIEMPOS DE LA COVID-19”\, que tendrán lugar de manera telemática los próximos 10 y 11 de diciembre. \nLa idea es abordar la cuestión de la desinformación desde tres perspectivas distintas: la histórica\, la periodística y la institucional (especialmente en el ámbito comunitario). El objetivo es invitar al asistente a una reflexión profunda sobre las causas de este fenómeno y\, sobre todo\, cómo identificarlo y luchar contra él. DESCRIPTION:Age of misinformation: an interdisciplinary outlook on fake news\nA webinar with leading scholars and policymakers in a dialogue on technical\, cognitive and regulatory aspects of the fake news phenomenon.\nZoom Webinar\n\n\nWith the spread of web 2.0 and digital technologies\, the divide between producers and consumers – of culture\, of science\, of news – has become more and more blurred. Building on the frameworks of Culture 3.0 and Post-Normal Science\, in which the relation between the public and the experts is characterised by growing complexity\, the conference “Age of Misinformation” will bring together leading scholars from different fields and policy makers to offer a transdisciplinary perspective in a Europe-wide debate on the phenomenon of fake news. \nThe webinar will take place on Zoom. Pre-registration is required.
