Event Summary
The roundtable will be an opportunity for legislators to understand the role of the ITU in the
regulation of Artificial Intelligence and to consider the geo-political trends affecting this
work. Legislators will be able to share their views and experiences from their own countries
and hear from legislators from around the world on theirs.
It would be useful to understand whether participants anticipate a balkanisation of different
approaches to the use of Artificial Intelligence in different regions of the world and to hear
their thoughts on how continued international collaboration is possible.
La mesa redonda será una oportunidad para que los legisladores comprendan el papel de la
Union Internacional del Telecomunicaciones (ITU) en la regulación de la Inteligencia
Artificial y consideren las tendencias geopoliticas existentes, asi como la posibilidad de
pueda existir una balcanización de los diferentes enfoques de la utilización de la Inteligencia
Artificial en las distintas regiones del mundo.
